Lets see what we have so far:

The answer to

(LD-1) is Mercury Cougar
(LD-3) is 12:11 a.m. and six seconds,
that is to say each minute is 60 seconds/ticks, 11 minutes is 660 seconds/ticks + six seconds is six hundred and sixty six ticks. The answer you offered, with the drowning stupid fat hobbit, Sam, would come from dividing six hundred and sixty six by 60. That would give you 11/ 1. But what is 11/ 1, minutes?
660 minutes would give you 11 hours plus 1 minute would make 661 ticks. If you were basing your answer on minutes, which would be the wrong basis, the answer would be 11 hours and 6 minutes.

Let us no longer dwell on the wrong answer GollumSmeagolGollumSmeagolGollum . There is still one unsolved Riddle In The Dark, which brings us to
