It is a human characteristic to be able to imagine an event in all its dimensions, which is what you have done here. The pain is awesomely convincing. His back is contorted toward the audience, and the palpable scars make us aware of our own fears & weaknesses. The drawing shows that even those dressed as warriors, perhaps even those that signify courageous heroism, know what it means to bow to a stronger force. Pleasure to see you back on the board. Seriously.
